ABOUT US

We mostly play at retirement centers and for FREE.

Any music from the 1900's to the mid-Sixties is fair game as long as our audience resonates to the words, music and emotion of the tunes

Our focus is on the vocals and popular songs be they jazz standards, popular folk songs, country western ballads or music from Ireland, Mexico, Europe or the Carribean.  We got started by learning some of the Sinatra tunes that our parents or grandparents might have heard and held close to their hearts.  As we started branching out we heard from folks who loved Hank Williams or Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald or Patsy Cline.  And who knew that Cole Porter wrote "Don't Fence Me In"?  Not us!  But that didn't keep us from learning those songs.   We do solo, duet, 4 part harmony as well as stand up bass, guitar, ukulele, mandolin, accordian and conga or castanet accompaniment.  We just never know who might "stray" in.  And just like those cat's your mama told you not to feed, The Strays keep comin' back for more.
